Description: You will learn a simple, low tech technique for developing symmetrical designs using half-square triangles. The class will be entirely black and white with emphasis on pattern creation. Each student will create their own unique design. You will then learn a technique for mass producing the half-square triangles necessary to make a 40” square Della Porta kite. The most difficult part of the class will be deciding which design to complete.
What to bring: sewing machine, notions, 12”x8” and 24”x36” cutting mats, roller cutter, rulers, open toe appliqué foot, ¼” piecing foot
Experience level: Beginner on up
