Description: The Yakko is a hoop framed kite originating in Japan. It’s named after the Yakko or Japanese Foot Soldier and traditionally has a head and feet. This version is made of ripstop nylon and is meant to be an easy, fun, beginners type project, that may also provide a slight challenge. Students will sew rolled hems on 3 sails and attach reinforcements and attachment points. Stack lines will be tied and a simple bridle made. Come join the fun!

What to bring: Sewing machine, notions, thread, clear ruler, blue tape and small cutting mat.

Experience level: Beginner on up
